What Members Thought
Such a great book! Ng has an easy, highly readable style and she is brilliant enough to explore multiple aspects of our culture at once. Her exploration of social issues is similar to Jodi Picoult but more literary.
Oh, and yes....there were LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE..... engaging and kept my interest after the initial setup. My bookclub will be discussing this in February......should be an interesting discussion, for sure.
Wow, I was immediately pulled into this story; I found the characters believable, sympathetic, maddening, cringe worthy and fascinating.
I wasn't sure about the preview when I read it but it was very talked about and I wanted to check it out. So I did and I think it was a great story, not sure if Hulu will ruin it for me but that is why I always read the book first
