I guess three stars is misleading. I did enjoy this book. I had a few things that drove me nuts, but more because of personal opinions on some of the topics in the book. I really enjoyed the first two and I liked this one too. I think the reason I gave it three stars (though I'd have done 3 1/2 if I could) was because I felt slightly like it rambled a bit. It was just one task after another to get us through Kel's four years of squire-hood. It was like I could take each event and it stood on it'

Well, this book is just like the rest of Tamora Pierce's wonderful books. There's some added romance (which was nice) and I can't wait to read the last book in the quadrilogy.
