There are many wonderful ways to experience A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens--book, audio, play. I just finished the audio version narrated to perfection by Jim Dale and was mesmerized the whole production. One is never to old to be read aloud to, and Dale does the words of Dickens proud indeed. I followed up this enthralling experience with the Whole Story edition of A Christmas Carol in which the slick, deftly illustrated pages contain sidebars of illumination about the age in which the st ...more

I liked reading this classic story for Christmas. I had never read it before and enjoyed reading the actual story after watching so many versions of movies and TV Specials. Now I need to check out the newest version that came out this year.

I cried several times. Loved it! Great for reading aloud. It's interesting that the movie adaptations always include a love interest that Scrooge loses due to his greed. I didn't miss it in the slightest.

Update: I have just finished listening to the audio version read by Jim Dale. It is fantastic. I cried again. :)
