This is the prequel to the “Dresden File” book series, which seem to be getting all sorts of fantastic reviews.
We meet Harry Dresden a local Chicago wizard and Private Investigator that the Chicago police call in for the cases that they are not fully equipped to handle.
Harry is called in to help handle a murder of a guard at the local zoo. The body appears to be mauled and the locals want to blame it on Moe the Male Gorilla as there is a trail of blood that leads to the cage. However the lack ...more

It's kind of fun to experience the Dresden Files in comic form. Welcome to the Jungle is a prequel, set just before the events of Storm Front.
A security guard at the Liberty Park Zoo is found brutally murdered, his throat torn out, and suspicion falls on Moe, one of the gorillas. Harry's called in when the details don't add up the way they should. Think of this kind of like another Side Job.
Harry is drawn OK. I always pictured him as finer boned, especially his hands... Long fingers rather than ...more

This is a prequel to the Harry Dresden series in graphic form. It has the requisite evil supernatural villain, which Harry manages somehow to conquer. The artwork was very good, but I didn't much enjoy all the pages covered with blood and body parts and monsters. I'm sure fans of the Dresden Files will enjoy it, but for me it was enough to make me realize I'm not one of them.
