I was not a fan of Slammed but after reading Point of Retreat, I can happily say that I abso-freaking-lutely loved the second book in this series. It was just everything I was looking for. I have a soft spot in my heart for two things: (1) books told from a Male POV and (2) books that continue the relationship between two people beyond how they fell in love. Needless to say, Point of Retreat fell into both these categories. Although Point of Retreat is by no means as strong of a novel as Where She Went or The Piper's Son, I enjoyed reading Will's POV much better than Layken's. I butterfly loved this book. It bemazed me. I bawled my eyes out while reading and it's butterfly wonderful to find a book that reaches me on that emotional level.

Heartbreaking and definitely worth reading.
I like the way the characters were developed.. from trying to be an adult to acting like an adult.
This book has become one of my favorites.

LOVED this book!! I cannot recommend it enough! I seriously love the fact that it is as much a great book for me as it is for my teenage daughter with so many subtle messages and themes that our daughters need to read! Go and read it!!!
