08.20.14 : Buddy read with Robin, Sandra, Ya, KdBrand and Samantha.

I can't believe it's just been a little more than a year since I read this the first time. This re-read was a great gauge on how differently I read then and now, how the critiquing has shifted highlighting things that didn't bother me the first time around. Okay let me just say I was so looking forward to this book. Saw all the great reviews and thought yes, this is going to be good. So lets start with the positive, loved Part one and Part three of the book. Loved Paul, he was funny, witty, cute and passionate. What's not to like, right. Loved how they got together, seemed like Eliza got him and shared the same passion for music. Then Part 2 happened. This I changed. My rating to 4 cause it was good just the whole fear of flying was too much......

Okay let me just say I was so looking forward to this book. Saw all the great reviews and thought yes, this is going to be good. So lets start with the positive, loved Part one and Part three of the book. Loved Paul, he was funny, witty, cute and passionate. What's not to like, right. Loved how they got together, seemed like Eliza got him and shared the same passion for music. Then Part 2 happened. This is where the book lacked and frankly was quite dumb. So Paul doesn't want to be on the road without his soulmate, get that. She won't go cuz she is afraid to fly, even though she promises him. So he wants to cancel but she can't let that happen so what does she do, acts like she is cheating on him, really. Seriously, this is what you choose to do so he goes on the road, over fear of flying, Come on! Can u say ridiculous? So breaking your soulmates heart is less painful then say trying to get on a plane. Break his heart, have him think you r a lying tramp is less painful then getting on a plane. This doesn't make any sense. So many other ways to handle, say u r going then once he committed back out and say you will try to meet up with him and do your best to overcome that fear. Mean there are classes for that. So anyway I get that the author wanted to separate them during this part of the book, but really this is what she came up with. Her fear of flying, I can see if someone is threatened or anything else for her to be dumb, but not because of flying. The only thing about part 2 that i liked was Loring. be really is a good guy.Another reason I didn't get this book is because I just didn't like Eliza, besides her being dumb she is annoying and can't keep her nose out of her brothers marriage. Who is she to say to his wife, her friend that he can't drop out of the band. Stay out of if, ths is something that was discussed between them. For someone who supposedly understands Paul passion you encourage him to sell out to winkles instead of Jack, come on anyone could see that's jack was a better fit. Paul trusted you and u acted all pouty and pushed him. Then u had him sellout again by touring with a band he didn't want to by making him a deal which you didn't hold up. Then she has the gaul yo call Paul a basterd cuz he novef on when she is the one who was stupid and broke his heart over flying, really, this is why i didnt like her. Good news part 3 of the book got better. So again, not a bad read, not a great read, just okay. That's all for now,

The writing was 10+ stars. I loved, LOVED the diary, but some parts were just too hard to read. Some parts were just not for me. My emotions were all over the place. I had to stop reading numerous times because I was not able to swallow some of the things were happening/happened. I do not want to give anything away so I will close with my favorite phrase from the book.

WOW! This book was amazing I felt every emotion possible while reading this book! I could not put it down, I love it when I read a book like this and get so caught up in the story and everything feels so real a must read for sure!!
