I really enjoyed this book! Figured I'd just get that out of the way immediately and go from there.
This book picks up right about where Cinder left off. Cinder has decided to make a jail break and in doing so meets a new friend who winds up being quite helpful. While Cinders story is progressing, you get the chance to meet up with Scarlet whos grandmother seems to have gone missing. Within that storyline, you meet another cast of characters. While, again, the plot was incredibly predictable due to the whole "fairy tale retelling" thing, it didn't retract any enjoyment from the overall story. The writing was inventive enough to carry the predictable parts of the plot. (It probably also helped that I stayed away from the shorts.)

LOVED IT!!!!! and now once again have to wait another year for the next installment. I am so excited to see what Cinder has in store for us next. Who will help stand up to the Evil Queen??? Will Iko ever get her new body??? And will they be in time to save Emperor Kai???? Ahhhhh!!!!!! Hurry and write the next book!

I loved this book. Wonderful heroine that I could identify with and root for? Check. Anti-hero? Check. Shenanigans and adventure times? Check and double check. It. Was. Awesome. I can't wait to finish the series!
