This is the second Witcher book I read in the series, although I'm reading them all out of the suggested or published order. This book is more focused on Ciri and all the different groups trying to find her for different reasons. After reading this book, I'm even more curious to go back and read the previous books to fill in background. The cool thing about this book is that it has eleven chapters rather than just the usual seven. I was really excited about that when I started The Tower of the Swallow. However, the down side is that Geralt of Rivia is only in two chapters within this entire book, which I found to be quite disappointing, as he is my favorite character to follow.

I'm still really enjoying this series on audio. Love the voice acting, and the witcherverse is always phenomenal. I've enjoyed the games, Tv show and graphic novels immensely.
This one kind of comes off the rails a little with all the time jumps and deep politics. Maybe there not so deep as just confusing. Either way it's a little dicey to follow on audio at times. ...more
