My review today is for:

The Last Mortal Bond (Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne Book 3)

A copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.

I read and absolutely loved the first two books of this series. One of my new favorite fantasy series and authors. So I had some high expectations going into this book. Alas all of those expectations were met. What a utterly amazing ending to a fabulous fantasy series!

this was a strange read. extremely long, yet not the longest page count I've read. I believe this is due to the very sincere fact that every single subplot was momentous pretentious solemn deep ponderous, of such import that nothing else could possibly compare at that moment. it always felt to me that there was a shoe poised to drop, the Sword of Damocles suspended but never falling, everything beneath so terribly terribly important...yet all of it culminating in what exactly? I finished this sometime in September. I've got mixed feelings on it and it took me a while to write the review. Even now I'm not sure what to write.

There are parts of the book that I love. There are characters in the book that are awesome. There is some amazing action in the book. There are many times in the book where I told myself, "This is the third and final book, you can finish it, right?"
