Pretty good, although not Gemmell's best book by a long ways. Still, even Gemmell's lesser works are worth reading.

A friend, Steven Beeho, recommended Gemmell to me last year, and I ordered three volumes from Amazon. I was so impressed that I immediately ordered copies of everything that Gemmell wrote and spent two weeks just reading my way through them non-stop and forgetting to eat.
