Somehow I missed this book in highschool and college. I found it absorbing and entertaining. It gives you a taste of what has changed for the late 1800's til now in regard of relationships, love, personal and public image. I really did like this book.

Finally done
I feel !Joe if a modern day author had chosen so few unique words to describe at length so short a scene, the first novel would be their last. I shall give Austen 1 more try.

The language was a challenge but worth it in the end. This was one of the few times where I thought the translation to the big screen was better than the book.
I loved it, please see comments and ignore the terrible typing.
