What a grand adventure Phileas Fogg and Passepartout had trying to going around the world in 80 days. I recently watch the PBS Masterpiece dramatization of Around the World in 80 Days and was surprised at how much they changed the characters and the story.

Jules Verne, you did an amazing job.

It is a fun story full of unlikely events, mistaken identities, brave risks, and a little romance. My cup of tea. ...more

It was good to actually read the book because I've always heard about the story. This seemed nearly like steampunk because it used some unorthodox methods of travel when needed, but it was written in the 1800's. A good read. ...more

This used to be one of my favourite books when I was a child, together with Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland and Little Women, That's why it gets 4 stars. I should read it again though. ...more
