I had this book in my shelves for a long time, the first chapters pulled me in, but then I got lost a bit, luckily I switched to the audio and a few more chapters in I was hooked.
Such a Fun Age is a complex, funny, sharp, uncomfortable and fantastic read about race and class that you need to read.

2.5. This story of race and class was interesting, thought provoking, but lacked some oomph. Emira’s character was an absolute delight, but Alix’s was a mess and the author failed to sell me on why she would be so obsessed with Emira and Kelley. There is a wild, unbelievable connection between characters, especially in a city like Philadelphia with a population of 1.5 mil, and Alix did something pretty horrific as mother that was hard to believe as a reader and then essentially glossed over.
