Would you believe me if I said that I believed that this was about a real, obscure band from the '70s for the first two hours of the audio book?
I mean, I love '40s to '90s music. I still search avidly for the stuff. So imagine my excitement at this band I've never heard of, with a book written in an interview format where everyone's views of the same moment are juxtaposed against each other. I googled their music immediately. Imagine my simultaneous disgruntlement and admiration of the genius of ...more

This unique novel is written like the transcript of a documentary about a rock band that disbands at the height of its fame and success. You can read my (effusive) review of this book here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/11/2...

This particular book has been sitting on my "want to read" list for a while now as it sounded like a fun read and I have also read a few of this particular's authors books and enjoyed them. The other reason, I needed to get on and read it was because it is being made into a TV series which I am looking forward to watching, more so now that I have finished the book. Do you know how some books can just take longer than others to read, often due to the format of the book? For me, that was Daisy Jon

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid was truly amazing & terrific. I loved the book a lot from the beginning to the end. This rocking tales centers around Daisy Jones, Billy Dunne, Graham Dunne, Camilla Dunne and the rest of the band. The novel has more than one narrators in this story. Daisy, Billy, Camilla & the of the band members. Each one of these characters shared their notion of their own perspectives of music, interest, love, addiction, family & whatever feelings of life or each

This was a great book that totally lived up to its hype! It is unique in that it is written as a series of interviews with the band members years later. I loved the ending!

It's really a romance but I liked. It's not cliche and talks a lot about music in a sense that Music means a lot to some people. Means everything. I really liked.

I rarely read the books based on their hype, I mean I would buy the books but might and will not read them right away and something similar happened with this book but the upcoming adaptation finally forced me to read this book and I am glad to have finally read the first book by Taylor and of course, I have her other books and would read them soon-ish. The blurb catches your fancy by giving you the pitch and you start reading the story presented to you in the form of interview notes and we slow

“I’m saying that when you really love someone, sometimes the things they need may hurt you, and some people are worth hurting for.”
Two paths of fame emerge in Daisy Jones & The Six. On one path, Daisy Jones grows up in LA with dreams of being a singer who sings the songs she writes. While she dreams and writes, she gets caught up in the rock ‘n’ roll scene doing drugs and sleeping around. When she gets a chance to get noticed for her voice and looks, she find out that she must put forth the effo ...more
