As someone who has been interested in checking out Leigh Bardugo's books for several years, I really wanted to love Ninth House. Sadly, Ninth House ultimately proved to be a rather mediocre book, in my opinion. As far as the characters go, Darlington was definitely my favorite character in the book, and I really wish that he had been featured in the book more than he was. I wish I hadn’t let this book sit on my shelf for almost two years before I got around to reading it. It was so good! I can’t wait for the sequel!

To keep the spirits at bay, Alex imbibes alcohol and drugs. She finds herself in a dangerous situation and wakes in hospital, the sole survivor in a mass murder. While recovering, Alex is offered an astounding opportunity: attend Yale and join a secret society called Lethe. She’ll be something of a p ...more

Odd. Different. Interesting. I’ve always been fascinated by magic in our realm and mixing that with Leigh Bardugo (one of my favorite authors) was a straight win.

I enjoyed this book and inhaled it as fast as I picked it up. I fell in love with characters, flaws and all. I love how, even with the major twists, everything seemed to come to an end and (possibly?) set up for another book.

Could Bardugo be a possible alumni of the Manuscripts herself? (I jest, I promise).

I am curious what this next
