I was pleasantly surprised by this book, not that I expected it to be bad , but I thought it was going to be an easy and sexy read about this two characters experiencing a week together for the benefit of both, but as I kept reading I was amazed by the depth of this great story. Fable is a girl who is used to fending for herself since her hot mess of a mother is too busy drinking and hooking up with a different man every week to care for her kids. Fable had to quit college and find a job to prov I was pleasantly surprised by this book, not that I expected it to be bad , but I thought it was going to be an easy and sexy read about this two characters experiencing a week together for the benefit of both, but as I kept reading I was amazed by the depth of this great story. Fable is a girl who is used to fending for herself since her hot mess of a mother is too busy drinking and hooking up with a different man every week to care for her kids. Fable had to quit college and find a job to provide for her and her little brother. One night after work, Drew is waiting for her to propose a deal that will forever change her life; to go home with him for Thanksgiving brake and pretend to be his girlfriend for seven days and he will pay her an amount of money she can turn down. Fable has a hard time understanding how this amazing looking guy, who's the star of the university's football team needs her to play pretend girlfriend when he can have any woman in town for free, but she really needs the money and accepts. Drew is deeply broken, and even though his life might look perfect from the outside its really far from it. He doesn't allow himself to get close to anybody, he can have any distractions, and only needs to stay focus on his school work and athletic career, because those are the only things that help him deal with all the pain he carries from his past mistakes. Fable and Drew have more things in common that they realized and need each other. Once they get to Drew's family's house and have to share the same space the sexual tension is too much, and soon enough they are going at it... And OMG! So hot, so beautiful and yet so complicated. Their relationship is very tense and emotional, there are so many secrets between them , threating to end the hope of surviving the ugly past. I have to say as I was reading the story I had an idea of what one of the secrets might be, but I wasn't expecting some of the twists and turns it took. This is a really great book, nicely written and the development of the characters was not only flawless but interesting. There's is no cliffhanger but we don't get a happy ending either. Lets not be sad over this because there is another book coming out in April so we can continue to enjoy the love story of Drew and Fable. ...more

This was a good, quick read.

I liked Drew, he seemed to be broken, and Fable although not as broken, she has had it rough and they both seem to be good for the other..

I won't lie, I knew the secret when the one character was first mentioned.. I don't mind not feeling like I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for some strange secret to blow everything up.

This like I said was quick, about 185 pages, took me about 2 hours to read. I can't wait to read more between these two :) ...more

This book has me a bit lost on how I feel about it. I liked it....but didn't love it. Though I read it all the way through in one sitting, I think I would be ok with not reading the sequel. And also (side note), out of simple protest, because I'm getting really tired of EVERY book being part of a series....finish the dang story already! Where are all the stand alone books I use to love! I bought this ebook not even bothering with looking at the reviews! I just knew what I had read on the description! And my book buddy Steph Recommended it!!! Thanks!! But wow I finished this book in 4 hours. I loved everything about this book. I quickly fell in love with fables ways! And of course with drew!

I wasn't expecting everything that happens in this book. I was expecting the whole boy is rich and falls for poor girl. But wow the drama the broken guy and girl. I have to say you all have ...more

This book gets better the further along you read! I liked the twist that is presented as the problem of the story and the relationship that develops between the two main characters. Athough my brain keep thinking Mable every time I read the name Fable!! And my favorite part of the book is the letter written at the end... MARSHMALLOW... Awww.

I had no idea what to expect going into this one - it really did seem like a "Pretty Woman" type situation - but it was good! The characters were both likable, although I did wish they were clearer with how they felt sometimes. Overall, a good read and I am looking forward to book #2. ...more
