Beautiful Raquel Merrick Astley is a high school English Lit teacher and the wife of the Chief of Surgery at a big hospital in Indianapolis. 5 STARS!!! HOLY CRAP!! This was a LOOOOOOONG book, but I LOVED every minute of it. Amazing series and the verdict is out as to which one of these books is my favorite.
This book was ahhh-mazing! Every time I wanted to take a reading break, something else would happen and I couldn't put it down! When I first started reading this series, I wasn't too, too sure. Overall, I ended up really liking Feb and Colt's story but it was pretty slow-going getting out the gate. But man, am I glad I stuck with it. In Book 2 with Violet and Cal, I really liked the pacing and storyline, the relationship but Vi really started bugging the piss out of me with how emotionally dense

Tanner Layne is hot. Rocky is cute as hell. As always loved the crime element in the Burg series.
My rules still hold true. 4 stars if a book makes me think about it while I am not reading and 5 if it makes me take my NOOK with me. I can tell you that there were times I was kicking myself for not having this book with me when I would find myself waiting somewhere with a few minutes to read. KA never fails to deliver and is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. 4.5 to 5 Stars. Another creative and well-written contemporary romantic-suspense novel. Loved all of the characters in this one, especially Layne's sons Tripp and Jasper. I did not agree with our author writing Layne using his teenage sons in his investigation. I did not find it believable, and most responsible parents would never place their children in a dangerous position. Another fantastic epilogue!
