LOVED this book! OMG! Kristen Ashley is the shiznit! Seriously, I've read this like 6 times. It's one of my favorites by her. Tate and Lauren are perfect and the mystery surrounding the small town of Carnal was riveting. Every time I read this one, I get all the feels! ...more

What I was thinking in 2012 when I rated this 4 stars.

Bad-mood-Alpha-male, who needs to be tamed = CHECK!!

Lauren Grahame is a lost woman. Her work background is in Human Resources, and she was paid very well to keep the large Arizona home in a gated

4 & 1/2 stars. Another solid, hot & intense KA story. Tate took a while to let in because, like the with the book's heroine Lauren, it took a while to get over his hurtful words and temper enough to relax into what was real.

This is part of the beauty of how KA writes though. You take the long way around to seeing the heart and soul of her characters and when they get there - you are along for the ride in a truly beautiful way. If you take the shortcut you don't feel the full scope and it doesn'

I spent most of my time rolling my eyes. Tate is a controlling ass. Lauren is always thinking to herself that she just got out of a controlling relationship, that she doesn't want to be in another one. As soon as she says something to Tate, he tells her to basically shut up. He's pissed at her the majority of the time. She needs to grow some lady balls and be a strong independent woman. It is a very annoying, long book. ...more

Finally a book that makes me want to go to bed early to read. Whilst quite predicable if you have read The Gamble, you get to know the Authors writing style and how these stories pan out, but I liked how the author painted the town and all the people on it, even if I was confused who a few of them were especially the bar staff. A great read about a caveman.
