The second book in the Alex Rider series. I think I actually preferred this book to the first. Alex seems to have grown up a bit (apart from the opening scenes with the crane!) The story line was very James Bond with the whole cloning story line, but again it was a quick easy read and I can see why children would love this series.

Really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read but kept me interested. I haven't read the first book in the Alex Rider series but I found that I wasn't missing out on many story points. It stands well on its own. Was not expecting the ending though. Will definitely be checking out Horowitz's other novels, especially the rest of the Alex Rider series. ...more

Good book for teenage boys. Has a nice red herring at the beginning of the story and a good surprise twist at the end. Lots of action.
