This book is fast, fun and exciting. I spent 50% of this book like a kid on a rollercoster - screaming my head off and waving my hands about with delight, saying to myself "ha! Take that !!" And "jump! Jump! Go on! " and "humm.. I think I'll make Four look like 90"s heyday Christian slater!" (Bonus)
Still couldn't complete with the hunger games for me though! Shame I read it first.

I feel so underwhelmed by this book- it was okay.
The dystopian world, the plot and the characters were all okay-ish/ good but not great. Also, I can't make up my mind on Tris- I started off liking her gutsy nature but slowly that turned into callousness as she felt disgusted by the weakness of others but she does have redeemable points and it's good that she acknowledges her shortcomings. I got frustrated with Dauntless' fear to show sympathy- there is nothing cowardly about being kind at all!

The only way I can really describe this book is to say it's a fun read. It's not terribly well written, but it's entertaining none-the-less. Like any dystopian book that's come out in the last year or two, the author is trying to replicate the post-apocalyptic themed success of the Hunger Games trilogy. I thought the idea and concept behind the 5 factions was interesting, as well.

This was another well done book. I liked the story, and the characters. I am looking forward to reading the next one in this series.
