While more individual-based than global in its target audience, Dr. Hyman's book still adheres to the principal message of The Greener Reader in that it advocates a diet based on REAL FOODS (he also recommends shopping for LOCAL FOODS!). The book provides a number of case studies to show causal links between poor nutrition and mental illnesses, and, more importantly, it teaches readers how to increase productivity, creativity, and mood stability through proper diet and nutrition.
