It makes me sick that it took me almost 33 years to enjoy this book. Perhaps if Fitzgerald weren't shoved down our throats as An American Icon and we were allowed to discover him on our own terms, I wouldn't have spent all this time believing I was too stupid to read him.

I wanted to re-read this both for the 100 year anniversary and because Paige chose to read it for school. It was good. Not ever going to be a favorite, but I think I appreciated it more now then when I was younger (did I really re-read this in 2011 or has it been since high school?).
