This is mostly a remembrance by Diane Keaton of her mother who died a few years before after a bout with Alzheimer's. Keaton's mom had years worth of journals, a tradition that Keaton carries on. This book is a merging of her mother's journaling with Diane's about a same situation sprinkled with a hefty dose of recollection. A different take from the usual memoir, but I think Diane Keaton is a different take.
