I had high expectations for this book. Divergent was amazing, Insurgent was an equally well sequel, but THIS? No. Not only does it downgrade the what's outside the gate, but it goes on with pretty much stupid actions. Personally I hated the book. I wish I never read it and I hate that I read through the last chapter with that awful ending! I was expecting more. I really thought this book would be as amazing as book 1 and 2, but sadly it's not.

I got surprisingly emotional at That Ending that everyone is always talking about. I still don't think the series does a very good job at explaining the society's motivations for its decisions, and too often characters have equally murky reasons for their choices. I just found everything about this book disappointing. I wish the series had ended after Insurgent.
