What Members Thought

The first time I read anything by John Green, it was "The Fault in Our Stars;" which I loved. I think it set the bar too high for this book, though. The voice in this book is not as powerful, and the plot is fairly predictable. If you're looking for a fairly easy read, however, this would be a nice book to go through. I personally found that some parts were really inspiring. I also liked that I got to read some Arabic (albeit in transliteration) in the book. It's nice to see a Muslim, Arab sidek

I love books with Male Protagonists.
Colin only dates girls named Katherine. All 19 of them have dumped him. On his trip to find himself and get away from the effects of his latest breakup, Colin makes a formula which will ensure that the next Katherine will be a perfect match. Hilarious story. Of course, Colin meets Lindsey--not a Katherine--and eventually discovers that love need not be centered only around Katherines.
Absolutely hilarious.

I thought this book would be awesome since it had my name on its title. But I was wrong. It took me four months to finish the book! I really want to like this book since I know John Green is a good writer. I really liked "The Fault in the Stars", but this...Hmm.. Well I think I have to read another John Green book for justification.

I liked it. Although I haven't cared for a few of John Green's female characters, I really liked the Lindsey character. Hassan was utterly hilarious, and Colin, well, let's just say he was special. Personally, I'm not sure how a guy with one friend his entire life could get 19 girls to like him, but whatever. It works, I guess.
