This was an adventure from start to finish. I've read children's books of Peter Pan before and I've seen the Disney movie way back in the day and Hook with Robin Williams and Maggie Smith. To call me a Super Fan would be an over-statement. I wouldn't have called myself a lover of Pan or Neverland. Which has a disturbing reminder of Michael Jackson and his Neverland that he designed for his lost childhood. With all this in mind.....

I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this book. It wasn't what I expected at all, in the best way possible. I didn't really know anything about it other than that it's a Peter Pan retelling, but I was not expecting the dark, twisted story that came. I loved Tiger Lily's character. To be able to build a character who you understand so well when she says so little is impressive. I loved the way the story was wound, how all the little details we know from the original story are woven in here ...more
