What a wonderful conclusion to a series that I thought would be terrible (mainly because it's semi-historic, and I looked up the fates of the characters).

I was satisfied by how this series wrapped up, and even managed to have a happy, yet believable, ending. Politics, battle, excitement, romance, warm fuzzies, scandal, you name it, it was there. I'm so pleased with this book. And this entire series. First of all, it has been a long time since a series held my attention all the way though. I've started a trend of only reading the first books. But Lada demanded my attention all the way through. This had all the things I loved in the previous books. Great characters, lots of blood, interesting and complicated relationships.
