Scythe Faraway takes on apprentices. Rowan and Citra. It's not easy killing off people due this world no one can die in order to die scythe takes lives.
As apprentices these two learn what being a scythe is. Not easy. But soon they most compete against each other. The one to lose must die.
Among the scythe things isn't as you'll think it is. Some scythe has their own rules some follow the rules.

This book was creepily good. I say "creepily" because it presented plenty of ethical questions that I've never thought the answer to. It also pretty much kept me guessing until the very end. On to the second book now.

I don't know what to really say. Neal Shusterman is a popular author and the premises of his books are intriguing. However, his books never manage to grab me. I don't know if it's the writing style or pace. I just never connect.
