What Members Thought
This was not nearly as good as the Lunar Chronicles... probably because it did not have a happy ending. Though, with a title like "Heartless" that was bound to be the case, I'm sure. Writing was good though; the ending was just depressing.

I really wish the story ended a different way, but I knew it couldn't. Really great origin story about the Queen of Hearts. I loved the romance between Cath and Jest and my heart broke for her when things did not go as planned. It's too bad this is a standalone because I would have loved a sequel.

I absolutely adored this book! This is the first re-telling I have read and I am now hooked. I cannot say enough good things about it. The story telling was amazing. Drew me in and hooked me from the first couple of chapters. Love, love, loved it!
Enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Looking forward to discussing it with my book group.
