Second listen through - still absolutely one of my favorite books! The narrator does such an amazing job portraying the characters. Especially Simon. My views have not changed much since my last listen, so definitely check out my First listen review of this book. I will now say that this book is much more than coming out as gay or otherwise. This book is about anyone that is hiding their trueselves whether it be gay, liking guitar, liking punk-rock...you get my point. It's to all those who are a Second listen through - still absolutely one of my favorite books! The narrator does such an amazing job portraying the characters. Especially Simon. My views have not changed much since my last listen, so definitely check out my First listen review of this book. I will now say that this book is much more than coming out as gay or otherwise. First listen through -You know those good soul books that are honestly perfect? The ones that make you want to cry, scream, laugh, and gauge out your hair? Yah, that is this book. Maybe I am being over emotional about this book due to, LITERALLY, seeing 5 Feet Apart about 2 hours before finishing Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.

As many of you know from either following me on Instagram or just from most of my reviews. I am not a fan of contemporary books - things like Fault in Our Stars or To All the Boys I Loved Before ...yah they just do not do it for me. However, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is about so much more than some silly crushes - not saying that Fault in our Stars isn't sad and only about love...but it was more too stereotypical with the characters and the situation. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is about love, coming out in a very White Nationalist state, and learning to love yourself for who you are. It's about the issues with bullying and having to go about day to day life with others attacking your sexuality. It was just more.

I will also say that I listened to this book via audio and I LOVED the narrator. I do not think they could have picked someone better. I mean come on that voice was just so adorable and it made me so happy. It honestly made the reading/listening experience so much more. The narrator put so much umph behind each of his words. Especially when it came to the sarcasm, and there was A LOT of sarcasm. I honestly could gush about this book for hours and how I kind of put all the pieces together on who Blue was, but don't have much time for that.

Leaving you will all these thoughts, I suggest you pick up the damn book because it was well written and absolutely, emotionally stunning.
