I had such high hopes for this book.

Maybe it's just me but there's something just so off-putting about the way that both Khalid and Tariq were repeatedly referred to as "boys". It just kept jerking me out of the moment because yeah I get that he's 18 and some people would refer to an 18 year old as a boy but in every other way he's being portrayed as a man. And enough with the pointless love triangles already.



Aside from that, what is up with the meandering plot that doesn't go anywhere?

Enjoyed it much more than the last time. The writing is quite beautiful and a style I enjoy. I am really excited to read the sequel. Damn that ending!!
