I enjoyed this book way more than I anticipated. Refreshingly, Matson did NOT follow the typical boy meets girl and they instantly fall in love pattern found in many YA contemporaries. I read this because the premise grabbed me . Not usually my kind of book, but I loved it. I really liked Emily. She's a good character, and the mystery about Sloan held my interest. And even though one major element of this book was predictable, I wouldn't have wanted it to turn out any differently.
