I love the idea of this book, but I could of a world when the beings were gender less and raceless, plus I don't care much for LeGuin's politics.

I'm so disappointed. 
The sheer potential of what this book could've been? Staggering.
But the most interesting thing about it ends up being merely a footnote in an otherwise extremely underwhelming read.
Give me more of how an ambisexual society functions - I want to know how stereotypical gender roles change!
And less garden-variety politicians and their egos, please. We've got enough of that. ...more
