Amazing book! This has great characters and a twisty plot that keeps you guessing at what will happen next and trying to figure out who are the "good" guys and who are the "bad" guys! The author has a wonderful way with words and his descriptions make everything so vivid. I definitely recommend this book and can't wait to read the next in the series!

Very exciting! Didn't enjoy it quite as much as I enjoyed Shadow of the Wind but still a brilliant story. Really liked the way it was a prequel but not too much to do with Shadow of the Wind and explained a few things about Daniels family. Loved Isabelle's character and the villain was brilliantly scary. Bit confused about whether the villain was real, but I think that was my understanding of the book rather than fault with the plot. Would recommend, brilliant read.
