I read this for myself, although I think the kids would have enjoyed it. If you don't like bugs...this may not be a good match for you. It was a neat story and ended pretty...with the hope of more. Yes, I got the second one!

I love Gregor the Overlander. Not only is it some great fantasy, but it's just a great story. The characters are likable, the plot is imaginative, and it's a book that appeals to all generations, not just your average late-elementary to middle school set. I first got into this book because my mom read it, and she told me that she cried when a cockroach died. I couldn't see how this could be possible (I mean, it's a cockroach!) so I picked it up for myself. And then cried when that cockroach died
