Amazing series and great story...loved Percy Jackson, Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover.... Review: In this new adventure with Percy and his crew of God powered partners in crime, Annabeth and Grover, they head to a private military school with Thalia to sneak out two half-bloods. But things get messy quickly and Percy as well as Grover, Annabeth, and Thalia find themselves having to fight their way out of the school while keeping the two half-bloods safe. To make matters worse, Annabeth is kidnapped and a new weapon is wreaking havoc all over the place. Percy also finds out that the two half-bloods he helped rescue, Bianca and Nico, are not just any half-bloods but are the children of Hades himself. Percy must now keep them safe, take down the new weapon called The General, and rescue Annabeth. To add even more hardship, he must also help find the goddess Artemis who has disappeared.

One of the coolest parts to The Titan’s Curse was the introduction of the goddess Artemis and her loyal hunters. The Hunters are a group of young girls who choose to renounce adulthood, men, and ever falling in love for the chance for immortality. Zoe is Aretmis’s second in command and I liked her in the book. She is agile, bold, and takes no nonsense. She is also a good leader. Artemis was a great new goddess to learn about, I just wish the story had more of her in it. It was great to finally have one of the gods on Percy’s side and rooting for him.

Readers also get to learn about Aphrodite and Apollo. Ares also makes an appearance in the novel. I love Apollo! He is RIDICULOUS and so funny! I love how much he annoys Aphrodite. Readers also get to learn why Dionysus hates all heroes. It was nice being able to get more of a glimpse into his character and backstory. What happens to Zoe was a big shocking twist! I really liked the ending when Percy and Annabeth dance together; it was so cute and sweet, especially since they are always fighting with each other.

As usual the characterization is spot on. The dialogue is full of terrific one liners and fantastic sarcasm. The plot is thick with suspense, loads of awesome battle scenes, and a growing romance between Percy and someone *wink*

The Percy Jackson Series is a set of books that just keeps getting better and better. A MUST read for anyone who is a fan of books!

Fun quote: “But Thalia held out her spear. “You want some, Seaweed Brain?”

Somehow, it was okay when Annabeth called me that — at least, I’d gotten used to it — but hearing it from Thalia was not cool.

“Bring it on, Pinecone Face!”
