I love the movie (LOVE!!!! major quote source!!!) so I'm kind of afraid to read the book. Will it conflict with the movie, or will it enhance?

I'm glad I read this book since I've heard so much about it, but it really wasn't my type of story. I can see how the action and adventure would be a draw, but it was written in a way that seemed too silly to me. The characters were all a little overblown at times, and often on the ridiculous side. While I can enjoy humor in books, this was a bit over the top for me. I was expecting a great love story, and didn't really feel like that was what I got. Even so, I did enjoy reading the book.

this book is even more funny than the movie!!!
It has taken me forever to think about the rating and I still haven't decided, so I'll just mark this as read for now and move on.

I love this book, but I actually love the movie more. William Goldman is definitely working out some issues with women in this book.
