Absolutely loved this story. The ending got me emotional and the intrigue throughout the story was so well written. I loved hearing how Margaret’s life unfolded while Hayden and Alice got to know each other. A great beach read!

I had a hard time with this book. For a while there, it seemed like Emily Henry could do no wrong in my eyes. Every book she released, I loved more than the previous books. No longer. She finally published a book I do not like. I actually regret the time I spent wading through this. I was so non-excited about this one that it took me a few days to even get around to posting my review.

It took me a while to get interested in this, but about 20% in I finally caved and got into it. I did skim here and there, but ultimately I enjoyed the book. I think it would be 3 1/2 stars.

Like all of Emily Henry’s books, this one is about relationships, but not just romantic. Relationships with others, parents, yourself. While this wasn’t my favorite book of hers, I did enjoy it and may have shed tear or two (happy and sad ones). I enjoyed the unknown in this book how so much was unknown until the end.
