What Members Thought
A very unique book. Having heard the title I had no idea what it could be about, but I found it to be a difficult book to put down. What starts out with the death of a neighbor dog delves into the life of a family with a child with special needs. Christopher's Aspergers affects his family greatly, and the story told from his perspective sheds light on the thinking processes of people with Aspergers. Highly recommended to anyone, but particularly those who interact with special needs people.

The book is about a young boy Christopher, the narrator, who has Asperger's Syndrome. Christopher sets out to investigate and prove who killed his neighbor's dog. Along the way, Christopher realizes that, despite his condition, he can do anything.

Was prepared to dislike this book. It just didn't grab me from the cover blurb. I was so wrong! I listened to this one on my ipod, and I know the people passing me in their cars wondered what was up with the "crazy lady laughing her head off". I think I may be a little autistic myself, because some of what Christopher said made perfect sense to me.
