2. (3) Child Psychology with Prof. U. R. A. Kidd: favorite authors/books when you were a kid:
Third-Grade Reporter (Nancy Drew Notebooks #35) by Carolyn Keene
The Giver by Lois Lowry
When I was in third grade, I had Third-Grade Reporter (I can't believe I found it again after so long!). I remember loving this book so much when I was a kid. Funny enough, I can not remember reading any other Nancy Drew books. You'd think once I read one I enjoyed I would read more but no for some reason - haha!
Another book I liked as a kid (in Grade 5) was The Giver by Lois Lowry. It blew my mind when I first read it for school. We did discussion questions for it and it was my first experience with that kind of analysis on a book, which I loved doing. I read it again a couple years ago and was equally impressed as I was when I read it the first time.

I'm in for 4
1. 1. I think that the The Hunger Games will be a classic 100 years from now.
2. Sociology 101 with Prof. B. Friendly: Friends Like Us 3/4
3. Child Psychology with Prof. U. R. A. Kidd: Delirium 3/3
4.

Got you and your books added Erika, thanks for joining in :)

Got it, thanks!

My tbr list has grown SO MUCH! but only since I joined goodreads. xP

I read Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne as a classic read. Really enjoyed this! Enjoying more of the sci-fi lately than I've had opportunity in the past.
A classic 100 years from now? I do think the Harry Potter series will last quite a while... not sure about a full 100 years though. I can't think of many children's books that lasted that long except maybe some of the fairy tales? I honestly haven't read many modern books lately, concentrating on non-fic and classics!
2. Sociology 101 with Prof. B. Friendly: Read a book where the main plot revolves around the relationship (romantic or otherwise) of two people or post a minimum of three times in threads other than your personal one.
I think I'll do the posting, may have done so already. I enjoy getting to know folks and hope more participate in this particular thread as well. :)
3. Child Psychology with Prof. U. R. A. Kidd: Read a children's or YA book or tell us about your favourite authors/books when you were a child.
We're going to start reading Sounder on Monday, but will likely take most of April to finish it.
As a child, my favorite books were the Nancy Drew series! My grandma has all of the yellow hardbacks and one of these days I hope they will be mine. :) Trying to get my almost-13yo to read Hardy Boys! Mysteries remain one of my favorite genres.
4. Nutrition with Prof. I. M. Hungree: Read a book with a food in the title or as a major part of the plot or share your favourite recipe or tell us about your "dream meal".
I have a cozy or two on the shelf, but I probably won't get to them this month. My dream meal is difficult to pin, though, as I really enjoy anything which I don't have to cook myself! LOL When we occasionally go out to eat, I usually eat some combination of steak and shrimp, or chicken - always with a loaded baked potato. I also really like fajitas, complete with margarita of course. ;)

Wow, you've done both sides of almost all the challenges! NICE!!

My dream meal is actually just going to my favorite restaurant: Silver Inn. It's website boasts "Calgary's Finest Peking-Style Chinese Food" and that does not even begin to describe how awesome the food is there. It's a family-owned restaurant so the food is always the same and always amazing. My family has been going there steady since my parents relocated to Calgary in the late 1980s. The owners know us well, and have known me and my brother from birth. My parents often joke that they were taking us there in diapers, and I believe it! In our house we can't even say the name of the restaurant because then we have to go there and no other food will suffice!
My mouth is watering just writing this....

I will enjoy dinner tonight also, as all I need do is prepare a side-dish to accompany the church's weekly pot luck meal. hehehe

haha (;

I will update later on today/this evening.

I actually did go there last night. All it took was a mention of the name. xP

Congratulations to Trevor for finishing this month's Mini Challenge! :)
Dalynn, you're off to a quick start with 3/4 already complete :)

1. Classic with The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (3 stars)
3. Young Adult with The Witch of Black Bird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare (4 stars)
4. Nutrition with Moonlight and Oranges by Elise Stephens (3 stars)
3/4 complete for challenge.

1. Classical Literature with Prof. Rita Booke: I think that Hunger Games will still be loved long from now, but I´m quite sure that Lord of the Rings at least will be a classic still after 100 years from now. It has already lasted a long time but I believe it will continue to be read by people of all ages.
