Oh my goodness! This was such a rollercoaster of a book. I read this not too long after I read The Great Alone, which absolutely blew me away, so there were definitely times when I read this that I wasn't sure if I could love it as much. But the ending was absolutely perfect and pulled all the different threads together.

I ugly cried at the end. I try not to read reviews beforehand but I saw a one star review and it made me curious. The review scrolled for pages. I don't understand why someone would spend so much time on a book they hated. People are weird. Suffice it to say this book was very sad yet entertaining and elicited a similar emotional response to the great alone though the books were nothing alike.
