This was such a great PR romance, but I was not surprised, I really enjoy the Changling series by this author.

Nalini Singh really writes a beautiful world, and her characters are always amazing.

The archangel Raphael and the vampire hunter Elena are now in my top ten favorite book couples.

I loved the whole dynamics about the world built here and I even enjoyed the secondary characters.

Looking forward to continuing the series.

Rereading this story was definitely necessary to really continue with the series as I frankly remembered very little of this. Oh I really do love Elena and Raphael. The snark levels coming from Elena are epic and I'm here for it! She is not going to back down no matter how scary Raphael is. He's a badass for sure, but it just doesn't intimidate her.

This didn't really work for me.
I did like the pacing, it moved quickly, there wasn't a lot of unnecessary stuff but I never really connected with the characters and that is probably just me.
I liked the last 20%-it seemed a little more intense and interesting. Raphael grew on me I reckon, there at the end but mostly I just didn't feel invested in them. Wow! This book was great! Vampires and Angels are not what I would expect to go together. In this world, it's the angels who create vampires. Elena is a vampire hunter who is extremely good at tracking. She gets hired by the Archangel Raphael to track down a rogue Archangel who is caught up in bloodlust. Very dangerous and almost unheard of.
