4 Mysterous Stars!

“One day you will kiss a man you can't breathe without, and find that breath is of little consequence." ~Barrons

I was about to look away when he reached across the seat, touched my jaw with his long, strong, beautiful fingers, and caressed my face.
Being touched by Jericho Barrons with kindness makes you feel like you must be the most special person in the world. It’s like walking up to the biggest, most savage lion in the jungle, lying down, placing your head it its mou

I’ve upgraded on this reread from 4 to 5 stars. When I read this before I never really took to Barrons but now I’m on board! Tons of character development for Mac in this one.
‘It’s not the darkness that frightens me; it’s the things that come out in it, and I was ready for them.’

I tried really hard to keep the spoilers out. I loved the first book but just didn’t have the time to finish the series yet. Mac is human well as human as you can be and still be drawn into the fae world. She’s rare a sidhe-seer one of the few who can see the fae for who they really are not human. In the first book she learned about her gift, also that her sister was murdered and refused to leave till she got justice for her sister.

Mac is still trying to find her sister’s journal hoping it will

This is where it starts to get really good. I love Barrons and Mac still drives me nuts with her untrusting of Barrons.

The last book ended on a "cliffhanger" and so did this one so i guess that's the author 's pattern.... What i dont get is since when did Mac become such a badass?! She talks of killing fae/unsealy (??! Whatever) left and right! Has she had any training?!?! ! Last book ended with her fainting from feeling the Seado book! So i am to assume she's been killing huge amounts of paranormal creatures in the meantime? Again - with ZERO training!
Anyways, the whole book was about nothing- boring with no pl

#2 in the Fever Series and it took forever for me to finally read this. After reading this one, I am excited to continue the series and looking forward to what happens next for Mac. In this one, she is still coming to terms with everything that has been happening, trying to figure out who and/or what Jericho Barnes is, and what her special gifts are really all about.

I hoped this series would get better, but it did not, at least not in book two. I have too many books on my to read list to waste on finding out if its better in three.

I still love this series, even after the 4th? time reading it. However, the audio narration does not do it justice and does not get that coveted 5th star.
