5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Fab series, excellent book, which develops key secondary relationships from the series

Lieutenant Eve Dallas, homicide cop in the New York central division and wife to Irish billionaire Roarke, mostly reformed criminal and electronic and financial wizard is on the case again. Dallas is the primary on a series of linked date rapes that end in murder. There are differences that are muddying the case and though the first murder seemed accidental, each subsequent murder is premeditated. You

6/18/16 - 6/22/16 - 5 stars - #13 in the In Death series. I listened (as usual) on audio and enjoyed (as always) Susan Ericksen's narration. She's amazing, and I fully believe that she enhances my enjoyment of this series.

This case in another tough one for Eve because of her history, although she doesn't get too bogged down in it this time. But it's a sexual predator case, and it was so sad and brutal to hear about all the young people's lives wasted. It seems that Eve gets on the trail fairly q

I enjoyed this instalment. I love the chemistry between Rourke and Eve and the tension between Peabody and McNab was also fun to read. As usual the mystery was clever, intriguing and compelling and the characters complex and interesting. There is something about this seres that makes me just want to pick up the next instalment as soon as I finish reading the previous one and I really had to stop myself from starting the next instalment Reunion in Death right away to read as i have to read some o ...more

I love this series, I can't get enough of Eve and Roarke. In this installment Eve is tracking down a pair of murderers who date rape their victums to death with a combination of very expensive, rare and undetectable drugs called Whore and Rabbit. Throughout the book, Eve is battling her own issues while being reminded of her own rape and childhood of abuse. Normally I listen to these books on audio but this time I read it and enjoyed it more. I took my time reading through the action scenes and ...more

Another great installment in this series. It is fascinating to see the growth Eve has gone through as both a cop and a woman. She is really getting the hang of the married thing and it is a delight to see!
