fantastic read, you can tell she did a lot of research, reading it I thought for sure the author would be a 95 year old woman who lived through the war.

Yet again, Kristin Hannah covers a difficult period in history with strong female characters. Set in France during the German occupation in WW2. One wonders how anyone could manage to survive in those conditions, and in truth many don’t in this book. Hannah is a good writer, and manages to weave small stories into major situation.
