This is a cool story about what Carrie Bradshaw was like high school. It provides some nice insight into Carrie's passion for writing, alludes to her great fashion sense and bad taste in men, and even gives a peek into how she met one of the three friends who would take up much of her adult life. Lots of background on Carrie that was never picked up on in the series. More, more, I want more!! I am such a huge fan of Sex and the City and have read everything by Candace Bushnell. This book was everything I could have hoped for in discovering Carrie's high school days. Ms. Bushnell has such a witty and sarcastic sense of humor that was slightly softened up in this 'crossover' book aimed toward young adults.

I love Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City. But I was not sure I'm ready to know her younger self. Turned out, this book is not so bad. Though in some parts I really can't connect the sophisticated Carrie that I know, with the awkward teenage girl in this book. But it's good to know about her family and childhood friends for once, since we never got a chance to know them in the original series. Would love to read the next book, when Carrie stepped her foot the first time in NYC.
