This is the first time I have read Farmer Boy and I loved it. It is the story of Almanzo growing up in Malone, NY and following his dream to being a farmer. I love how Wilder details every day life back in the 1860's. I found it interesting how they made butter and soap, candles and so much more. Love this series. It is a cool experience to read this series as an adult, I highly recommend it. ...more

My favorite in the series. I liked all the descriptions of the food. It seems I was a very hungry child.
