Not an easy book to describe. It involves several interrconnected plots including an electric monk who believes things for people, a computer programmer, a disgruntled former magazine publisher, a very old professor and eventually Dirk Gently. I found the book amusing but it took a logn time to get going. Once the pieces started fitting together it was enjoyable.

Not quite the same level of humor I know and love from Arthur Dent and the gang, but still lovable and enjoyable.
