What a journey this book is!!   And woowhee I can see why it gets shelved as smut!  But more than any of that, this book was AMAZEBALLS.

Sarah Waters demands the reader's full engagement, you have to work for it and settle in for the long haul  which is why this ís only the second book I've read by her.  But she makes it so worthwhile, which is why I regret this is only the second boo
