After the events of the last book Charley is suffering from PTSD and hasn't left her apartment in two months. She gets a new client, who has been harassed her entire life, which motivates Charley to leave her house. Events begin to heat up on the Reyes front now that he is out of jail. Charley also learns a bit more about what it means to be the Grim Reaper and what powers she has. This series is enjoyable and keeps me interested and wanting to know more about Charley's powers. I'm very disappointed in this book. I don't like the turn this series has taken. The male characters, specifically Charley's father and Reyes, constantly hurt her and get away with it. These men physically and emotionally abuse her but because they claimed to do it with the best intentions(her father) and they're so hot(Reyes), she lets them off the hook. I would have given the book one star but I really do like the concept and some of the secondary characters(her uncle Bob, her bff and her sist
